Who We Are

The DRUM Youth Services provides welcoming, safe, and inclusive programs for young people across the Cities of Melbourne and Yarra. Our programs empower young people through engaging activities, support services, and community-building opportunities.

Our Programs run weekly during school terms

City of Melbourne

Underground Women (Ages 12–18)

Wednesdays, 3:30–6 pm @ North Melbourne Community Centre

Thursdays, 3:30–5:30 pm @ Our Place, Carlton Primary School (150 Palmerston St, Carlton VIC 3053)

A safe and supportive space for young women to connect, engage, and lead activities including cooking, arts, and sports.

Young Men’s Program (Ages 12–25)

Fridays, 4–6 pm @ Carlton Baths, Rathdowne Street

Social and recreational activities, including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and access to support services.

Young Men’s Program – North Melbourne (Ages 16–25)

Thursdays, 3–6 pm @ North Melbourne Community Centre

Youth-led activities like beat-making, practical life skills workshops (resume building, education support), and supportive services.

Young Mix (Ages 12–17)

Mondays, 3–6 pm @ North Melbourne Community Centre

An inclusive program with sports, board games, music studio activities, and support services.

Boys + @ The Venny (Ages 8–16)

Fridays, 5–8 pm @ The Venny, Kensington (transport from NMCC at 4:30 pm, returning at 8 pm)

A supportive social and emotional space with dinner and activities, focusing on positive role modelling and emotional well-being.

Kensington Outreach

Fortnightly Tuesdays at various Kensington locations

Connecting young people with local support, resources, and community services.

Queerspace Youth (Ages 16–25)

Weekly @ Carlton Youth Space (Contact via social media for details)

Peer-led support for queer, trans, intersex, gender-diverse, and questioning youth, featuring workshops, social activities, and mental health support.

A community-focused space for young QTIPOC (Queer, Transgender, and Intersex People of Colour) offering workshops and events promoting connection and support.

City of Yarra

Collingwood Youth Drop Program (Ages 10–18)

Wednesdays, 3:30–6 pm @ Collingwood Youth Space (253 Hoddle St, Collingwood)

A fun, creative space providing activities, well-being check-ins, and holistic support.

Collingwood Kick Back (High School Ages)

Tuesdays, 3:30–6 pm @ Collingwood Youth Space

Social space for high-school-aged youth with creative and recreational activities, including well-being support.

Richmond Girls Club (Ages 8–18)

Fortnightly Tuesdays, 3:30–5:30 pm @ Richmond Youth Hub (110 Elizabeth St, Richmond)

An empowering and engaging program featuring cooking, arts, games, and dance for young women in the City of Yarra.

Monthly Youth Advisory Committee

BESURE (Funded by DFFH)
