Event Summary

This 90 minute seminar is for parents and carers of kids moving from Grade 6 into secondary school.

With a mix of feelings, kids are often eager to grow up, but a little worried about how being back at the bottom of the school (the newbies!) will feel. This seminar helps parents build on the existing strengths and coping skills in children to help them make the transition with a minimum of fuss. It’s an exciting time and signals the start of teenage behaviour for most, so come along and enjoy the ride! We will explore the role of parents/carers in promoting their young person’s social & emotional well-being & building their resilience to support and navigate this significant change.
