We are committed to supporting youth-led initiatives and to creating opportunities for young people to become leaders in their own community.

There are lots of ways to get involved in drummond street’s innovative program of services. Whatever your interest, or level of experience, we offer short and long term volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Expression of Interest

drummond street services recognises the important contribution of volunteers, to their
communities and in turn the positive role that altruism, service and connection to others on their own mental health and wellbeing. Volunteers play an important role in the life of drummond street services. This includes on a number of events and programs that we deliver and provide support and enrich the lives of the communities we work alongside.

All expressions of interest are reviewed with consideration of current opportunities, our capacity and your supervision requirements. Your completed form will be held securely and confidentially.
If we have capacity to accept you as a volunteer we will contact you for an interview. If we don’t have capacity, we won’t contact you but will hold your expression of interest for 12 months in case a future opportunity arises.

Requirements of all volunteers over 18

Anyone 18 years of age or older can apply to volunteer. drummond street services is committed to Child Safety. All short-listed candidates are subject to child safety screening and assessment against the Child Safety Standards as part of our selection process. This includes having a valid Working with Children Check and completing a criminal history check.
